Ortitay Announces $2 Million for Cecil Project

July 17, 2026

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jason Ortitay (R-Allegheny/Washington) today announced $2 million from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) has been awarded to Attollo Medical Institute.

“Today’s award will repurpose an existing building in the Southpointe business park,” said Ortitay. “The project will address several pressing healthcare, workforce and community needs while at the same time revitalizing an underutilized existing property.  The substantial and lasting value created for Washington County and the broader region will be felt for years to come.”

The funding will be used to renovate 1001 Corporate Drive in Southpointe to meet medical practice and patient care needs. More specifically, the project will:

•Create a new medical office and ambulatory surgical center to improve access to specialty care and state-of-the-art facilities for patients and providers.

•Create meaningful job opportunities across multiple sectors, including healthcare professionals, construction trades, administrative staff and support services.

•Create a new childcare model that provides a meaningful workforce solution for healthcare professionals and working families, while also helping recruit and retain physicians, nurses and staff in the region.

RACP is a Commonwealth grant initiative managed by the Office of the Budget, dedicated to supporting the design, acquisition, and construction of projects that stimulate regional economic, cultural, civic and recreational development.
